What is the Polar Glaciology Section of the Japanese Society of Snow and Ice?

@The Polar Glaciology Section (PGS) is one of the special sections of the Japanese Society of Snow and Ice (JSSI), and is composed of researchers and graduate students who have an interest in polar glaciology (deposited snow in polar regions, glaciers, ice sheets, and sea ice). A general meeting will be held in October when the annual symposium by JSSI will be organized. About 50 members of PGS will attend the meeting. At the meeting, annual activity reports by several Working Groups in PGS and recent activities by the Glaciology Section of the Japanese Antarctic Research Expeditions will be reported. Members of JSSI can become a member of PGS.
